Every time we go rural areas or visit the beach, we would always find some rubbish or plastic bottles lying around. At this point we should ask ourselves: can we produce less rubbish or plastic bottles?

It is astonishing to think that it takes 450 years for plastic to decompose, and this statistic is frightening. Even with a single piece of plastic, it transforms into waste that cannot be decomposed for future generations in the next few hundred years. Therefore, when setting up Lanuwa, we first considered the packaging. How can we contribute to environmental protection? By avoiding the use of plastic.

Lanuwa specifically uses natural straw bottles, as they can be decomposed in six months. In addition, we use environmentally friendly safety paper from Canada for our product labels, which is easier to decompose as opposed to glossy labels.

More often than not, lipsticks or inhalers are made with plastic shells in order to facilitate the manufacturer to isolate raw materials so that they do not cause a leak. Lanuwa deliberately chooses wood as the shell of our 100% natural essential oil inhalers, providing customers with a “non-plastic” option, which makes us unique from the generic market. Many prefer wood as a material, as it is easy to carry around and keep. Also, we have set up refills for when you wish to add aroma to the scented stick (inhaler) in the future, simply purchase a refill pack and add it to the wood inhaler yourself. The inhaler can be stored for a long time whilst maintaining its fresh and natural aroma.

Lanuwa believes that nature provides us with everything we need, and hence we should give back. Starting with our daily lives, let’s reflect on what we can do for the environment.
